Evenness - What TV Tropes quite sorely lacks. I've had this little essay in my storage for a while, but figured that posting it in the actual TV Tropes sub would be a bad move, didn't know where else to put it so hopefully you guys can appreciate my inane natter. I don't really feel that strongly about many of these points, but they're problems worth pointing out. Keep in mind, I'm half playing devil's advocate here. But nonetheless, I think I can safely say its an exceptional site on the whole, though definitely not without issues. I'm sure many can relate, it's part of the site's motto after all that it will ruin your life. At my absolute lowest points during illness and stress, I suppose you could say that sites like TV Tropes become something of an emotional crutch - an entertainment website that keeps giving and giving and giving until you're so full of useless knowledge you could burst something to waste your time on and procrastinate endlessly. I kinda overdid it in my teen years, admittedly. There is some truth to how addictive it can be, but it wears off. I like TV Tropes, and I have for a long time.
